Introduction
This is meant to be a quick and dirty guide to the bar exam, to give you some
of the insights that I wish I had known when I prepared for this thing. I'll often use
the California bar exam as an example, since that is the exam that I took, although
I think structurally speaking, most of the exams seem to be quite similar. I think some of
the key things to remember about the exam are the following:
- There is naturally too much material to cover.
- But to pass the exam, you only have to cover what's on the exam.
- To be able to solve what's on the exam, you have to practice, practice, practice with exam materials.
- Just memorizing all the law available will make the exam frustrating and difficult.
Let's first examine what this exam is all about.
